How to restore the gastric mucosa?

Food has a huge impact on human health. And the functioning of the digestive system will depend on what kind of food he eats. A sick stomach is the cause of many pathologies. Therefore, at the first manifestations of pain and discomfort in the stomach, treatment should be started immediately. Restoration of the gastric mucosa is a long and complex process that requires drug therapy and the establishment of a special diet.

Allowed and prohibited products

First of all, you should give up bad habits (smoking, alcohol), they adversely affect digestion. The diet should consist only of wholesome food. The doctor will make a list of allowed foods, often plant foods.

When restoring the stomach, it is not recommended to use:

  • fatty, fried and spicy foods;
  • greens, raw vegetables;
  • cabbage, mushrooms;
  • also limit coffee (it is allowed to drink before meals, but not after it);
  • fast food, soda.

Allowed foods for stomach disease:

  • meat and fish should be only lean varieties (it is better to cook in a double boiler);
  • pureed and boiled vegetables;
  • kissel, Borjomi mineral water;
  • low fat dairy products.

Food should not be hot or cold, only warm food is allowed. You should eat often in small quantities.

Medications

For treatment, medications are prescribed that eliminate the factors that create the subsequent development and complication of gastritis. Various drugs are used to restore the gastric mucosa, as well as to release the substance of pepsin and hydrochloric acid.

The following drugs are used to treat the disease:

  1. To normalize the mucous layer and renew cells (Misoprostol, Prostaglandin E, Actovegin, Cytotec), sea buckthorn oil, aloe are prescribed.
  2. To reduce the acidity of the stomach (Almagel, Maalox) - have a protective function. Antacids, which are part of the product, cover the entire surface of the stomach and prevent acid from getting inside.
  3. Hormonal (Cytotec) - lead to a decrease in the effects of hydrochloric acid, protect the stomach. Should not be consumed by pregnant women.
  4. Means for protecting the inner wall of the stomach (Pepto-bismol, Venter) - when they penetrate the body, they prevent the ingress of hydrochloric acid into the mucous membrane.
  5. Antisecretory (Lansoprazole, Omeprazole).
  6. To restore the intestinal microflora (Linex, Lactobacterin, Bifiform).

To normalize the gastric mucosa, you should know the cause of its violation.

If there are no clinical manifestations, treatment should still be carried out, and the sooner the better.

Recovery after antibiotics

It is known that antibiotics negatively affect the mucous membrane, intestines, and can even destroy beneficial microflora. As a result, the opposite effect is created. It is impossible to completely abandon such drugs, especially with a bacterial infection.

Antibiotics damage the defense mechanisms of the digestive system, in connection with this, the doctor prescribes prostaglandins. They are formed in the mucosa from arachidonic acid and have the following effect:

  • increases the production of mucopolysaccharides, which are responsible for the appearance of mucus;
  • the spread and development of pathogenic bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract is prevented;
  • the production of hydrochloric acid is reduced to the required level, which maintains an acceptable acidity in the stomach.

After taking antibiotics, the intestinal microflora should be replenished and the mucosa should be completely restored.

Rehabilitation includes the following:

  • the use of drugs - analogues of prostaglandins;
  • the use of reparants - in order to heal the broken mucosa;
  • laboratory tests are carried out - to exclude infection with Helicobacter pylori.

These activities are always carried out, regardless of the duration of treatment with antimicrobial agents.

Normalization of the gastric mucosa with gastritis

During gastritis, the gastric mucosa is disturbed in a person, because inflammatory processes occur in it, which can subsequently cause ulcers and erosion.

The gastroenterologist will select the correct drug treatment, consisting of targeted drugs:

  • enveloping the membranes of the stomach;
  • formation of protective mucus;
  • increase in recovery processes;
  • decrease in the production of hydrochloric acid;
  • normalization of mucosal epithelial cells.

However, when using these drugs, care should be taken, because an overdose can have a negative effect and lead to the formation of erosive and peptic ulcer disease.

Folk remedies

In addition to drugs to restore the gastric mucosa, folk recipes are also used. Home remedies enhance the effects of medications and help normalize the mucous membrane faster.

However, herbal treatment is not always safe. Herbs have some contraindications, for example, pregnancy, exacerbation of gastritis, and so on.

The following plants have an enveloping effect:

  • St. John's wort, celandine, plantain;
  • sage, rosehip, eucalyptus;
  • chamomile, oregano, licorice root;
  • coltsfoot, succession, fennel, etc.
  • The most effective folk recipes are:
  • flaxseed jelly, for its preparation you will need 1 coffee spoon of chicory, 3 tbsp. l. flaxseeds, 1 liter of water; seeds are poured into a mixer and poured with boiled water, beaten for about 10 minutes, after which chicory is added; consume warm half an hour before meals 1-3 times a day;
  • a few leaves of aloe, at least 3 years old, must be cut, washed, wiped with a towel, rolled up in cling film and refrigerate for 2 weeks; after 14 days, take them out and squeeze the juice; take 1 tsp. three times a day before meals;
  • Wash plantain leaves, dry with a paper towel, then squeeze the juice and consume 1 tbsp. l. 3 times a day for about 20 minutes. before meals (preferably dilute a single dose with boiled water).

Using special medicines and homemade recipes for the regeneration of the gastric mucosa, it is possible to achieve the desired result - to eliminate the factors that provoke the development of gastritis and restore the mucous membrane.
